Child star Gertrude Messinger grew into a pretty young woman but, as Rider of the Law amply demonstrates, her acting capabilities remained the same: junior league at best. Steele and the six veteran outlaws, however, make sure that the 56 minutes or so of fightin' and shootin' go by more or less painlessly.
