Directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, this romantic drama is an adaptation of the 2017 novel by Tess Wakefield. The story follows Cassie (Sofia Carson), a down-on-her-luck waitress trying to make ends meet while pursuing a career as a singer-songwriter. When she is diagnosed with a sickness, Cassie proposes a deal with an old friend who enlisted in the army to get married so she could have medical insurance and they can get benefits as a family. She is turned down, but her friend's Army buddy Luke (Nicholas Galitzine) takes the challenge with bigger consequences later on.
