Review by Jeremy Wheeler

Policewomen is a tough-as-nails '70s tale where moustaches are king and the women are downright mean. It's a flick where the dialogue never ceases to amaze, as do most of the acting jobs. Costumes, rough violence, and a crackerjack plot all add up to a film whose time and place have successfully been sealed in history. Directed by exploitation guru Lee Frost (Love Camp 7, The Black Gestapo, and even Mondo Freudo), every frame of Policewomen washes over you with all its no-budget charm. Lead actress Sondra Currie has certainly done her Clint Eastwood homework, chewing her way through scene after scene while busting the chops of everyone from crazy kung fu-fighting women to '70s chumps in suit jackets. Worth it for all of this and more!
