Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Years ago, Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan) had his heart broken by Mary Alice Perkins, who left him waiting at the altar and married another man. Now, Mary Alice is a widow, and Uncle Joe decides to begin corresponding with her again. Are there wedding bells in the offing, or is Joe setting himself up for another fall? Lurene Tuttle, previously seen on Petticoat Junction as sterm schoolmarm Adelaide "Genghis" Keane, is here cast as Widow Perkins.
