Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In 2017, New York City's contentious Cabaret Law, a form of institutionalized racism that held the city in its grip for over ninety years, faces its long-awaited repeal. Amidst the sociopolitically charged moment, a diverse cast of New Yorkers descends upon Harlem's noteworthy Paris Blues jazz bar, their intersecting lives offering commentary on the nature of race, art, and expression in contemporary America. Christina Kallas writes and directs the musical drama. Co-starring Vandit Bhatt, Leon Addison Brown, and Ellie Foumbi.
