This film is part of an award-winning series that chronicles some great moments and athletes of the Olympiad competitions throughout its history. In this volume, the focus is on the inspiring stories of athletes who persevered despite obstacles and setbacks in their careers. With interviews, personal accounts, and archival film footage, stories of athletes with great heart are presented. Included in the film are shots of the victory of sprinter Percy Williams in the 1928 Olympics, and shots of Alain Mimoun of France, winner of the 1956 gold medal in the marathon.
