Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This edition of the PBS science show Nova explores the mysteries of the pyramids of Egypt. The pyramids stand like question marks in the Egyptian desert. Who built them? And how they were built? These, and other questions, have fascinated people for centuries. Egyptologist Mark Lehner and stonemason Roger Hopkins set out to test some of the clever and often bizarre theories about how the structures were built. The video is accompanied by four geometric blocks of Vermont maple so that the student can construct a pyramid at home.
