Christy Turlington Burns directs this documentary following the plights of four pregnant women in four very different parts of the globe, from a remote area in East Africa; to a Bangladeshi slum; to a prenatal ward in the United States. The film is meant to highlight the sad story of the more than half a million women who die from preventable complications of pregnancy and childbirth each year.
