Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This episode was clearly inspired by the brouhaha stirred up when controversial comedian Andrew Dice Clay) hosted Saturday Night Live in the spring of 1990. The "Clay" character in this instance is stand-up comic Monte Potter (Louie Mustillo), whose profanity-laden monologues have raised a delicate First Amendment issue. Hauled into the courtroom of Judge Harry T. Stone (Harry Anderson), Potter's raunchy routines result in a lively debate involving the staff, the plaintiffs, the defendeants, the spectators, and a bombastic minister (Clifton James).
