One of the very best of the series, Nancy Drew, Trouble Shooter remains constantly entertaining -- mainly thanks to Bonita Granville and Frankie Thomas' engaging performances as Nancy and her boyfriend/sidekick Ted Nickerson -- and comes complete with a climax that still packs a punch. After being chased by a crazed bull, Nancy and Ted find themselves abducted by a crop duster pilot (Edgar Edwards), who then bails out. With a terrified Ted at the throttle, the scene is mindful of many a serial cliffhanger. Only this time we don't have to wait a week for the outcome.
