Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Documentary filmmaker Tali Yankelevich spends ample time filming the lives of seemingly ordinary supermarket employees doing their daily grind somewhere in Brazil. The film presents the various ways these employees do their apparently monotonous and repetitive tasks, day in and day out. Eventually, the story unravels bits and pieces of the workers’ lives as audiences get to experience what it’s like to live in such a seemingly predictable life. Yet the story also presents that things aren’t what they really seem to be on the surface of grocery shelves and counters.
