Synopsis by Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez

A look at five days within the legendary Carmine Street Guitars store located in Greenwich Village; an old gem amongst gentrified buildings and nouveau riche establishments. Run by Rick Kelly and his apprentice Cindy Hulej, the two work to build customised and handcrafted guitars from reclaimed wood, salvaged from old NY buildings. A popular store for guitar greats such as Lou Reed, Bob Dylan and Jim Jarmusch, some famous faces drop by, hang out and play some chords in this one-of-a kind, musical oasis amongst the madness of the city. Directed by Ron Mann.
