Directed by Chris Sivertson, this supernatural thriller features Christina Ricci as Laura, a mother to seven-year-old Cody (Santino Barnard), who decides to get a new but isolated house near a lake. They are trying to live a new life after escaping an abusive ex-husband. Amidst a 1950s clean-cut retro look and appeal of their life and surroundings, a new challenge appears in the form of a monstrous being that emerges from the waters near their property, haunting them in more ways than one.
