Synopsis by Kaitlin Elise Miller
Director Frederick Wiseman spends a couple of months documenting life in the rural red-state farm town of Monrovia, Indiana, which is home to just over 1,000 people. Wiseman captures events such as a wedding, a funeral and a farm auction, following townspeople through their daily lives at the barber shop, the mom-and-pop restaurant and the Freemasons lodge.
