This Greek drama follows the quest of a man who by looking for his estranged brother begins an inward journey leading to self-revelation and freedom from authoritarian influences. Yannis, a policeman, is plagued with self-doubt. One day he comes across forged papers belonging to an illegal immigrant. He is surprised to see the papers are in his father's name and come from his home village. While checking police files, he spies his estranged brother Selios' picture attached to a false ID. Stelios was presumed drowned after he went AWOL in the military. So begins Yannis' search. The search becomes an obsession and Yannis refuses to stop looking even after he is taken off the case. He leaves the force and goes undercover to continue his search. He finally learns that Stelios was smuggled out of the country. Now Yannis must decide whether or not to follow him.
