An Abasto Market greengrocer offers a pretty clerk the love that her husband denied her, and much more, in this romantic drama starring Juan Jose Miguez and Pepita Munoz. When the greengrocer fails to declare his love for Paulina, she winds up marrying an uncaring gambler who abandons his family following the birth of his son. Determined to help Paulina despite being terminally ill, the kindly greengrocer offers to marry her while he's still alive, and leave her all of his money. Later, the greengrocer makes a miraculous recovery. When Paulina's first husband returns seeking to reconcile their relationship, she's forced to make a difficult decision.
