Matt Dillon's former girlfriend Cara (Jorja Curtwright) arrives in Dodge City, apparently hoping to renew their romance. But Matt (James Arness) finds that the intervening years have made Cara too cynical and jaded for his tastes. Then word arrives that notorious bank robber Tolliver (Douglas Odney) is in the vicinity--and with startling suddenness, Matt learns the real reason that Cara has come back into his life.
