This 1982 Royall Ballet production of Manon, the tale of an 18th-century French woman who abandoned her true love for a wealthier suiter, features Jennifer Penney, Anthony Dowell, and David Wall. Directed under Kenneth Macmillan, this ballet narrative follows Manon (Penney) as her greedy decision and consequent regret of it leads her increasingly further into an abusive, desparate, and ultimately tragic existence.
