In the documentary Cunningham, director Alla Kovganh explores the life and times of Merce Cunningham, an American dancer and choreographer who greatly influenced the artform through his distinct style. Focusing on the first 30 years of Cunnigham’s career, the film delves into how he started out in the industry and how he developed the techniques he is known for today through music and never-before-seen archives. The film also features recreations of Cunningham’s most celebrated works through 3D technology.
