Synopsis by Mark Deming
While Louise Brooks had a relatively brief career as a Hollywood actress, her striking beauty (complete with distinctive "helmet" hair style) and stunning performances in two films by G. W. Pabst (Pandora's Box and Diary Of A Lost Girl) made her a cult object whose legend continued to shine long after she retired to a reclusive life devoted to writing. Louise Brooks: Looking For Lulu is a documentary about her life and career, which includes rare film clips, historic photographs and a previously unreleased interview with Brooks which was filmed in 1976.
