Caught in an unhappy marriage, Piera Fabbri (Giovanna Ralli) leaves her physicist husband Andrea (Paul Guers) and runs off with her lesbian lover, Luisa (Anouk Aimee). However, Piera soon discovers that her new-found relationship may not be the answer to her problems.
