The director/writer team of Alice O'Fredericks and Lau Lauritzen manage to poke a bit of fun at the era's great Hollywood gangster melodramas while rather obviously attempting to create a Danish Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in Schønberg and Jensen, whose physiognomies, if not comedic talent, certainly qualify. Unfortunately, everyone's efforts are summarily defeated by an all too characteristic slow pace alleviated only slightly by a couple of catchy songs. Billed under her real name (Aase Madsen), Osa Massen makes her screen debut, but is wasted as Schønberg's heart interest.
