Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Written and directed by Matthew J. Saville, the family drama follows the story of Sam (George Ferrier), a suicidal seventeen-year-old on the path to self-destruction. Coming home from boarding school, he discovers that his grandmother Ruth (Charlotte Rampling) has come to live in his home. The cantankerous attitude of his grandmother makes it hard for Sam to connect with her. Being a former photographer active during wartime, Ruth also grapples with her own demons as she chases them away with alcohol. It takes a while for the two to connect, and the film is about that journey.
