Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This Hungarian drama explores the life of a factory worker and dedicated communist party member who becomes embroiled in a conflict with his quota-mad boss. In the West it was considered somewhat daring, as the film makes it clear that even in a "socialist worker state," workers have plenty of problems. This realistically told film features fine performances and does not seem to overdo the propaganda angle.
