Writer-director Michelle Boyaner’s slice of life documentary captures the highs and lows of her own efforts to care for her long-divorced parents who have their respective life circumstances (her mother struggles with dementia, while her father is a hoarder). Her personal narrative interweaves with other parallel storylines, uniting aging parents and middle-aged children of various backgrounds in the shared pathos of the aging process.
