Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

In this documentary, part of the Investigative Reports series from A&E, more "cold cases" are looked at again and re-examined by law enforcement authorities. Narrated by Investigative Reports host and producer Bill Kurtis, this video looks at two of these "cold" cases. First, the murder case of Christine Elkins stumped police for six years. Elkins disappeared in 1990 and her body did not turn up until 1996, when the case was reopened and justice finally served. The second case involves the 1991 murder of 81-year-old Daniel Schraeder. It was not until six years later when police found used DNA technology on blood from a suspect's jeans that they finally were able to make an arrest.
