This drama explores the grim lives of Turkish "guest workers" living in Germany. These workers live lives of great hardship, loneliness and deprivation in order to send money back to their families in Turkey. The story focuses on the efforts of one such worker who is attempting to improve his circumstances by, among other things, learning German properly.
