I Touched All your Stuff focuses on Chris Kirk, an American IT technician who moved to Colombia after reading about Pablo Escobar’s hippos in a magazine.
On his first day in Bogota, Chris met a mysterious Japanese-Colombian woman named "V," and the two quickly began an intense, on-and-off relationship. But when he was arrested in Brazil, years later, for international drug smuggling, Chris Kirk began to re-assess the history of his relationship with "V."
During the filming, Chris instructed the filmmakers to find an 80 gig hard-drive that was in his friend's possession in Washington State. That drive supposedly contained the digital reminiscences of his life in Colombia -- and an outburst of videos, pictures, emails and other personal data.
The result is a film that's as much about Chris Kirk as it is about two directors trying to solve the puzzle of his story – and by doing so, falling prey to a similar compulsion that drove Chris Kirk to Colombia in the first place.
