A Vietnam vet (Michael Moriarty) recognizes a hotel waiter (Haing S. Ngor) as the man who tortured him; a sensitive high-school student (Scott Coffey) is berated by his macho teacher but befriended by the man's daughter and Christine; a young man assumes hotel duties without being hired.
