Review by Hans J. Wollstein

Produced by Fanchon Royer, one of Hollywood's few women executives at the time, Honor of the Press tells the story of gangster Roger Bradley (Wheeler Oakman) who buys a newspaper in order to mount a campaign against the local police commissioner (John Ince). Cub reporter Daniel Gridley (Edward J. Nugent) gets suspicious and along with his girlfriend, hat-check girl June Bonner (Dorothy Gulliver), begins an investigation into the dirty politics. Second-billed Rita LaRoy played the femme fatale and Honor of the Press was released by Poverty Row company Mayfair Pictures Corp.
