Mrs. Craddock (Fay Compton) is a concerned mother who tries to raise three children as a single parent after her husband (Jack Buchanan) supposedly dies. Her children are led to believe their father died a hero while saving the life of a drowning victim. The wayward husband returns and tries to blackmail his wife and lead the oldest son (Jack Hobbs) away from the straight and narrow path. The husband eventually decides to depart, but ironically stops to save a drowning victim in this sentimental drama.
