Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Gapi (Gilles Pelletier) is a lighthouse keeper whose forced occupational isolation has given him a tendency to endlessly expound on life and love to an audience that is usually avian and just flying by, or is sometimes invisible, or even non-existent. Gapi's sailor friend Sullivan (Guy Provost) comes visiting one day and their companionable dialogue brings some unwanted information into the world that had revolved as securely around Gapi as the beacon around his lighthouse. Sullivan, it turns out, once made a serious play for Gapi's late wife, a woman eulogized through many of his long monologues. This sets off the first discord the friends have known and threatens to leave future monologues uninterrupted by Sullivan's visits unless the sudden enmity can be resolved.
