Four couples living on the edges of the European Union have their lives and problems examined in this documentary from Swiss director Jan Gassmann. Siobhan and Terry try to kick their addiction to drugs in Ireland; in Estonia, Veronika and Harri attempt to connect with her son Artur; Penny contemplates leaving Greece and her partner Niko behind to work in Italy; and Spaniards Juan and Caro fall in love while trying to plan their futures despite a bleak job market.
