Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
When a venerable patriarch dies in Cairo, his family is shocked to learn that everything they have -- their home, business, and bank accounts -- is balancing on the projected income from a shipment of cocaine out at sea; the old patriarch, it seems, was an old crook. The male heirs along with everyone else are in a sticky wicket -- they want to keep their assets but are not about to become cocaine traffickers, or so they think. One of the sons is a noble Public Prosecutor, another is a doctor, and the last is pretty much willing to emulate his deceased parent and complete the cocaine deal. As the moral dilemma works its way to a resolution, several tragedies and mishaps follow that seem to indicate crime, in the end, does not pay nearly enough.
