Review by Cavett Binion

Any film which uses footage cribbed from a Roger Corman film just to increase production value is in dire straits indeed, as is the case with this ludicrous attempt at a horror anthology -- a permanent fixture on many bad-movie connoisseurs' "worst-ever" lists (a status it richly deserves). The collected vignettes (to call them "tales" would be stretching credibility) play like high-school drama-club versions of popular horror omnibus films such as Dr. Terror's House of Horrors. Linked together by dull narration from John Carradine, they involve a possessed "witch's clock," a doctor who jolts an executed murderer back to life, a battle between Dracula and a werewolf, a deceased doctor who becomes a rampaging ghoul, and a vampire's reign of terror in 19th century England.
