Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This PBS program hearkens back to the early days of rock & roll, to relive some musical memories from the doo wop era. The doo wop refrain was an integral part of many a hit record, from "I Only Have Eyes for You" to "There's a Moon Out Tonight." This live concert, hosted by Jerry Butler, brings back some of the greatest groups from the '50s and '60s to perform for a standing room-only audience. Among those included in the lineup are the Coasters, the Chiffons, the Edsels, and the Crystals.
