Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Chester Conklin, he of the tiny stature and huge walrus mustache, is the hero-villain of this Keystone comedy. Two buyers from rival countries arrive in the U.S. to purchase airplanes. One of the buyers, a shifty type known as A. Walrus (Conklin), resorts to all manner of underhanded tactics to eliminate his rival. The action reaches its (literal) height as Walrus commandeers an airplane and begins merrily dropping bombs and other comedy props on everyone within his range of vision. But after several thrilling dives and loop-the-loops (accomplished via clever camera trickery), Walrus burrows his plane into a towering smokestack, whereupon his dreams of glory crash to the ground in an effusion of bricks and stones.
