Veteran Shakespearian actor Patrick Stewart narrates this look inside the Birmingham Rep Company as they produce their vision of Hamlet. Sir Derek Jacobi directs Kenneth Branagh in his debut as Hamlet. They take a new approach in interpreting this famous work. This special is a behind-the-scenes look at the laborious path to opening night. You see the rehearsals and get a glimpse of the huge task of staging such a production. Interviews with Sir Derek Jacobi and Kenneth Branagh are featured. They reveal their own views and beliefs about one of Shakespeare's most famous works.
