Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Alys Wynne (Virginia Hammond) and her husband, "Python" Grant (Ernest Maupain) are members of a group of international swindlers. She has kept her daughter, Doris (Betty Brown), in a French convent, so the girl has no idea what her mother is up to. Doris marries Keith Bourne (Harry Beaumont), the brother of one of her school chums, and they go to the U.S. on their honeymoon. Keith has come into a lot of money, and he meets Grant, who tries to get it out of him. When he is unsuccessful, he gets Alys to help out. Unaware that he is her son-in-law, she tricks him into a compromising position and tries to blackmail him. When he refuses to pay them off, she sends the information to his wife. The distraught Doris finally gets in touch with her mother, who discovers that she is ruining her own daughter's life. She can't bear the guilt, so she turns Grant in to the police and then gasses herself.
