The documentary film Children of the Stars tells the story of a group of UFO devotees, one of whom has owned a large plot of land intended for an alien spacecraft landing for more than four decades. Ruth Norman, who purchased the 67-acre radius in San Diego which has since become the home of the Unarius Academy of Science, is profiled, along with a dedicated group of science fiction enthusiasts who make their own re-enactment films to honor some of the moments which they believe once transpired. Interviews with the film's participants are included, as well as archival footage and 25 minutes of bonus film footage.
