Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, this slasher-horror is the eleventh film in the series based on Stephen King’s 1977 short story. This time, it’s more of a reimagining of the story than a direct remake. The film centers on the goings-on in a small Nebraskan town where an evil spirit lies hidden amongst the cornfields. The dying spirit has the children of the town under its spell. As a result, the children, under the leadership of twelve-year-old Eden (Kate Moyer), rule the town and end up killing corrupt adults. It’s up to a high schooler to stop the madness before it is too late.
