This documentary with historian and Monty Python alumn Terry Jones examines the life of historical author Geoffrey Chaucer, writer of the Canterbury Tales. Following him from his childhood in 14th century England, the program explores how Chaucer witnessed the Black Plague wipe out a third of Europe's population when he was just a boy, and later became a secret agent during the 100 Years War.
