Directed by Agnieszka Holland, this historical drama serves as a biographical tale of controversial Czech healer Jan Mikolášek (Ivan Trojan), who was said to have a special healing touch. Using his intuition as the basis for his methods, he utilizes his knowledge of plants that could be used as herbal medicine, catapulting him to mainstream attention during the 1940s and ‘50s. Soon, public figures come to him for treatment. But as his fame grows, he also faces challenges and detractors, especially from bigger political forces. Co-starring Juraj Loj, Jaroslava Pokorná, and Ladislav Kolár.
