Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Marjorie Daw is the title character, a flirtatious young flapper by the name of Edith Folsom. Her goal is to have as many admirers as possible, and she completely neglects Ned Lorimer (Ned Whitney Raymond). She leaves him behind to find a new wardrobe -- and new men -- in the big city. On the train, she runs into Lorna Lear, an old school chum (Fritzi Brunette), and Lorna's handsome cousin, John Blaine (Jean de Briac). Lorna invites Edith to stay with her, but Edith proceeds to associate with less-than-desirable characters. When she is seen with H.H. Van Horn (King Baggot), a married man, Lorna upbraids her and she runs away. She checks into a hotel. When her money runs out she gets a job as Van Horn's secretary. She runs into Blaine and they elope. When she comes back to tell Van Horn that she has married, he embraces her and confesses his love. Mrs. Van Horn (Lisle Darnell) sees this little scene, and she meets with Edith and her husband to find out what is going on. Edith vows to stop being a butterfly and becomes interested in Mrs. Van Horn's charity work.
