In a world nearly decimated by flooding, young Hime is caught in the center of a struggle for all man kind. A huge organic ship called Orphan has emerged from the water and the goal of those aboard it is to drain all remaining organic energy from Earth and then leave. Many support Orphan but many also fight against it, hoping to prevent its launch and preserve life on Eearth--for its departure would surely be the end of mankind. Together with an ex Orphan supporter named Yuu and a team of anti-Orphan fighters, Hime joins the ranks of those who pilot a battleship called the Novis Noah, against the Orphan mechs called antibodies, trying to prevent the extinction of humanity.
