Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In an era which produced The Sheik, there was little room for this quaint little film, based on the novel by Ian MacLaren and shot on location in Scotland. Lord Malcom Hay (Alec Fraser) is in love with Flora (Mary Glynne), the daughter of sheepherder Lachlan Campbell (Donald Crisp, who also directed). But Campbell is suspicious of Hay's love, and Hay's father, the Earl of Kinspindle (Jerrold Robertshaw), wholly disapproves of the match. Flora is banished from her home and the Earl sends his son to London and tries to force him to marry Kate Carnegie (Dorothy Fane). But Kate is actually in love with a minister, John Carmichael (Langhorne Burton). An old doctor (Humberton Wright) brings Flora back home, and Hay is reunited with her there.
