Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Joy Dickson takes the director's chair for this earnest drama that meditates on such themes as African American-Caucasian race relations, identity, ethics and immigration in the early 21st Century United States. The film tells the story of an African prince who abdicates his throne and moves to the U.S. to experience life as an ordinary immigrant. Though he quickly falls in love with an American woman, circumstances soon take a dire turn and he finds himself fleeing for his life. In the process, he comes face-to-face with the dark side of the American dream and the lack of justice and equality in America.
