Synopsis by Robert Firsching
One of pinku-eiga director Toshio Okuwaki's more accomplished softcore films, this World Eiga release deals with the conflicted sexual mores of modern Japanese culture. Michiko Sakyo stars as a young wife with a checkered past as a promiscuous b-girl. When her husband (the ubiquitous Setsu Shimizu) learns of his wife's naughty background, he is honor-bound to spurn her. Of course, this prudish response leads Sakyo right into the arms of a former boyfriend. Like many later pinku-eiga, which had the husbands of rape victims shaming their "tainted" wives into suicide, Bed Dance provides an interesting look at a changing culture, along with the expected softcore thrills and an appearance by cult pinup queen Naomi Tani.
