Synopsis by Mark Deming

No Halloween would be complete without the terrifying onslaught of Beavis and Butthead, and this home video collects seven episodes of the popular animated TV series about two intellectually-challenged and hormonally-overdriven teenage losers. In "Bungholio: Lord of the Harvest," Beavis and Butthead go trick-or-treating, and Beavis' large intake of Halloween candy transforms him into his bizarre alter ego, Bungholio. "Ding Dong Ditch" shows the boys trying the old "ring the doorbell and run away" trick, without much success. "Late Night with Butthead" features Butthead making his mark on public access television. "The Pipe of Doom" shows what happens when someone as bright as Butthead gets caught in a length of sewer pipe. "Leave It to Beavis" strands the boys in a black-and-white '50s sit-com. "Killing Time" reveals the disturbing spectacle of Beavis and Butthead waiting for two hours for their favorite TV show. And "Candy Sale" turns the boys into salesmen in a misguided attempt to raise money for their school. The DVD release also features excerpts from the Beavis and Butthead book "Chicken Soup for Your Butt," and a DVD-ROM demo version of the video game "Bunghole in One."
