Icelandic director/writer Ísold Uggadóttir’s debut feature film examines issues of poverty, race, refugees and LGBT identity. (Kristín Thóra Haraldsdóttir) stars as Lara, a struggling single mother who begins working as a border patrol officer at the Keflavík airport. There, she establishes an unexpected bond with Adja (Babetida Sadjo), a lone female refugee from Guinea-Bissau.
